          Not long, the ant caught up with the snake and said, “I have

conveyed your message to Mr Monkey. And he is very happy too.

However, I think he would be happier if you can return a favour.”

“What is it?” asked the snake immediately, “I don’t forget good deeds easily.”

“Well, the truth is that he fell into a ditch after warning you of the eagle’s impending danger.”

THE ANT FINDS THE MONKEY

          The snake crawled out of sight and the Ant continued his search for a liberator for the Grass cutter. But as he was passing by the side of a ditch, he heard the Monkey’s frail cry for help but he was out of sight. “Whoever is passing by please help me. I am in the ditch!” The monkey’s voice grew louder.  Then the ant moved closer to the hole and saw the monkey, below.

THE ANT MEETS THE GRASS CUTTER

          After walking some few meters the ant saw the grass cutter sleeping on the bare floor. “Good,” the ant said. “Now I wouldn’t have to go too far.”He tapped the sleeping grass cutter on the nose and continued, “Please sorry to wake you up my sleeping friend, the Grass cutter, but Mr. Bird needs assistance that I would have gladly given to him if I had teeth strong enough to destroy the bird catcher’s cage like yours.” The grass cutter managed to rise and said, “oh no, I feel so stupid. I should have done that earlier when I had the chance, but I was selfish. And now see, I am also trapped here in the hunter’s bait too.” He pointed to one of his injured hind legs, while he moaned. The ant saw the pinned leg to the bait and said, “That’s true! You too are trapped in the hunter’s bait; and with so much pain. I really feel very sorry for you, how I wish I could help.”

TURTLE TAIDO

Finally a Nigerian Cartoon for all children and the young at heart.  The Adventures of Turtle Taido cartoon series hit the airwaves every Saturday on DSTV, Africa Magic Family Channel 154, at 11:00am C.A.T and on NTA Network every Sundays at 4:30 pm C.A.T.

The animated series comes from the stable of Tayekeni Productions Limited. Our Lagos Flinger Nose correspondence (FNC) scheduled an interview with the producer and he patiently gave us some insights into his works. Please read on.
