Warning:
Don't read any further if you haven't watched yet. Say it ain't so! The
fiercest bob on TV is no more. That's right: Rosalind Price and her magnificent
hair cut were brutally murdered in the opening moments of tonight's episode of
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. And though she hadn't been around long, this loss hurts,
not only because we don't like to see Phil Coulson in pain. We'd only just
gotten confirmation that Rosalind (Constance Zimmer) was someone Coulson (Clark
Gregg) and the team could trust and that piece of work Ward (Brett Dalton) had
to go and shoot her in the neck. It's pretty safe to say that Ward and
S.H.I.E.L.D. are never ever getting back together. Why'd he do it? Simple
revenge for the loss of Kara/Agent 33 at the end of last season. From there, we
saw a Coulson unhinged, operating on a near-feral level that we've never seen
from him before. In his quest to wipe Ward off the map once and for all, he
gets Leo (Iain De Caestecker) and Jemma (Elizabeth Henstridge) kidnapped by
Hydra, with Malick (Powers Boothe) intent on using the five monolith stones to
open the portal and send a team through to retrieve the original Inhuman on the
planet. Who's the team? Leo, who surrendered to protect Jemma, and Ward, who's
somehow convinced to lead the probable suicide mission by Malick. Oh, and
they've got someone tagging along: Coulson himself, who dives out of a plane
and straight through the portal like a boss. Only hiccup? He hits his head on
impact and is down for the count. He better wake up soon. He's got a fallen
love to avenge. What did you think of tonight's shocking episode? Bummed
Rosalind didn't make it out alive? Sound off in the comments below and be sure
to check back with us once the episode airs on the west coast to hear with
Constance herself has to say about the brutal twist. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on ABC.
