Jason Scott Lee to play a Villain Role in Mulan 2020

 By Jenna Anderson

It looks like Disney's live-action Mulan has found its most recent foe.
Jason Scott Lee will reportedly be joining the live-action remake, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Lee will be playing Bori Khan, a warrior leader who is intent on avenging his father's death.

Lee has quite a few Disney-adjacent projects under his belt, starring as Mowgli in the 1994 live-action The Jungle Book, portraying Aladdin in Arabian Nights, and voicing David Kawena in Lilo & Stitch. Outside of that, his filmography includes Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story, Back to the Future Part II, and Hawaii Five-O.
Mulan will be directed by Niki Caro, and star Liu Yifei as the film's titular heroine. As fans of the original Disney animated film know, the story sees Mulan disguising herself as a man to join the military, and saving China in the process.
The cast of Mulan will also include Gong Li, Donnie Yen, Jet Li, Yoson An, Ron Yuan, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Xana Tang, and Chum Ehelepola.
The film, which is already being dubbed one of the most expensive movies ever made, is expected to film in China and New Zealand later this year. While the project has accumulated a bit of fan backlash - namely, for the lack of beloved love interest Li Shang - it sounds like there's a lot to be excited about with the project.

SALES BOY

Investing in Yourself

Why do you want a job so bad?
“You know… Security.”
What kind of security are you talking about? Putting your financial fate in someone else’s hands feels safe to you?
This rant is aimed at entrepreneurial types, as well as people who want the security of a steady job. I believe both should be mindful of the risks of NOT investing in yourself.

The False of a Job Security
A friend told me a story about his boss. Another co-worker has left the company for a competing company, and that boss has threatened them that if they remained in contact with that guy “there will be consequences”.
This friend sat all through lunch with me in agony trying to decide if he should meet this friend over the weekend, since they made plans to meet.
I asked him – why do you stay there? And he replied – security.
Now, I know this is an extreme example, and most jobs and bosses are not that bad. But the fact still remains – when you are in a “job” you place your financial eggs in someone else’s basket. It doesn’t have to be a horrible boss that fired you, it could be that the company went bankrupt. They’re making cuts. Your department is being canceled. Whatever the reason may be – you have no control of it.
I’m not trying to convince you to quit your job, or feel bad for wanting a good job. Jobs could be great. I am saying, however, that you must do whatever you can to have more control over your financial fate, and the best investment you can make is in yourself.
You will never fire yourself.

 By Jamie Lovett
 Nick Fury Samuel L Jackson

Samuel L. Jackson is set to reprise his role as Nick Fury in Marvel Studio’s upcoming film Captain Marvel, which just wrapped filming. Jackson shared a photo to Instagram showing off Fury’s SHIELD business card and it has a rather personal touch.
The business card has the SHIELD seal as well as its full name - Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement Logistics Division - with Fury’s name, address, phone number, fax number, and job title. The job title in particular feel like it was chosen by Jackson himself.

“Back to the familiar, the comfortable, the lovably fierce!” Jackson wrote on Instagram. “Loving today’s mood!” Take a look below.

RESPONSE TO TWO ANIMATION QUESTIONS ON QUORA

Q1.  How long does it take to make a 4-minute animated video on Adobe Animate?

My Ans:  I think before you can talk about how long it would take you first need to talk about the frame rate you shall be using, this is very key (maybe 12fps, 15fps, 30fps etc). Next decide if you will want to draw in ones, twos, threes etc. The higher your frame rate the smoother your animation will be, but note that there are standard rates for both Traditional and 2D Animations. So going beyond the 30fps on Adobe          Animate can sometimes be an overkill; the more your frame rate the more work is to be done. If you can fathom these earlier then it becomes easier to know how long it would take.

Now let’s do some calculations based on your timing = 4Mins
(These are my assumptions: I used 15fps and draw in 2s)

60 Seconds = 1 min, therefore
60 x 4 Seconds = 4 min = 240 Seconds
Using 15fps then my total frame rate would be
240 x 15 = 3600 fps, that means I would need 3600 different drawings to complete a 4min animation, if I draw in ones.
But since I choose to draw in Twos I shall halve my drawing effort,
i.e.   3600 / 2 = 1800fps

Now to answer your question, it is the time that it takes you to complete all these 1,800 individual drawings is how long it shall take to make your 4 Minute video.
Please note that I did not mention anything about Character designs, Backgrounds, Blockings, or the general
 animation Pipeline, Blah, Blah, Blah!!
